Smoothies Have Become a Mainstay of my Nutrition

I started journaling my workouts as a part of my recovery from a broken hip/femur sustained on December 12, 2007. Although I began training a couple of weeks after the surgery, my serious training began on June 1st, 2008. I am focused on overall strength and cycling. In recent months I have been spending most of my time in the gym. I'll get out on my bike more as we begin 2009 and the weather improves.
Also, raw sweet potatoes aren't as starchy as cooked, I think. so maybe not as many carbs?
ReplyDeleteMine were cooked. I "stole" them from Sweet Tomatoes, a salad bar restaurant in Sarasota. I ate my typical salad and then stuffed three cooked sweet potatoes in aluminum foil in my pocket. I carried them on the bike. I found it hard to swallow the cooked sweet potatoes while riding, or even while stopped. Maybe I need more practice.
